Retreat, Social or Festival: Which YouFinder Experience Is Right for You?

Some weeks, a few hours with new people would be enough. Other weeks, you want to put your bag down somewhere and stay a little longer. YouFinder has three ways to join: city Socials, a hosted Retreat and the Festival. The right choice starts with the kind of time you want to have.

Start with the size of the commitment
A Social is the smallest step. It is a hosted experience in your city, with its own activity, venue, date and price. You can meet people without arranging a trip or taking several days away. Check the current city listing before making plans: an early list means we are collecting interest, not selling a confirmed event.
A Retreat asks for more time and gives the group time to become familiar. The next announced Goa retreat runs from 22–26 January 2027 at 360 Agonda: five days, four nights and a maximum of 12 participants. There is a proposed daily rhythm, shared meals as confirmed in your booking, creative experiences and room to rest.
The Festival gives you a wider programme to explore. The Goa edition has arrival on 4 December 2026 and paid Festival days on 5–6 December. You can consider a pass or ask about a stay package. It suits someone curious about a weekend of people, music, conversation and making, without choosing the longer January retreat.
Think about the company you want
If your main thought is “I’d like to do something different this weekend,” start with a Social. A shared activity gives the meeting a purpose beyond introducing yourself.
If you want several days with the same small group, look closely at the Retreat. Familiarity has time to develop over breakfast, sessions and the pauses between them. You can still take time alone; joining a group does not mean being available to it every minute.
If variety is the appeal, read the Festival programme. Choose it for the experiences that interest you, rather than the pressure to attend everything.
Compare the whole budget
Social prices are announced separately. The full two-day Festival pass is ₹3,000; Goa-resident passes are ₹500 per day. Festival accommodation options and the January retreat are separate offers, with separate prices. Travel, extra nights and upgrades can change what you spend, so compare the final written quotation rather than a starting number alone.
It is useful to know what would not fit
A retreat may be the wrong choice if you need to work full days throughout it. A Festival may not suit the quietest possible break. A Social cannot offer the continuity of five days together. None of these experiences promises instant friendship or a particular personal outcome.
You can come alone to YouFinder. You can also ask questions before deciding. Tell us what you have time for, what you enjoy and what would make you uncomfortable. That is more useful than trying to choose the most impressive option.
