Safety & participation

• What transport is included
• What you arrange yourself

• Relevant weather or terrain information
• Emergency contact information
• Cancellation terms
• Anything unusual about the location
You should not discover important logistics after paying.
What we expect from you
Very little. But the basics matter.
Treat people respectfully.
Respect a no.
Respect personal space.
Do not pressure anyone to drink.
Do not pressure anyone to share.
Do not repeatedly pursue somebody who has shown no interest.
Do not use YouFinder primarily to sell your business.
Do not photograph somebody who has asked not to be photographed.
Do not assume somebody’s openness in one conversation gives you access to the rest of their life.
And if somebody needs space: Let them have it.
Consent
“It’s part of the activity” is not consent.
Some experiences may include partner movement, physical exercises, blindfolded exercises, breathwork, sharing, touch, dance, somatic work or reflective activities.
Facilitators should explain what is happening before it begins.
You can opt out. Choose an alternative. Or simply watch.
Participation is encouraged. Consent is required.
Sharing
Nobody needs your deepest secret.
You decide what belongs in the group.
You can say:
“I’d rather pass.”
“I don’t want to talk about that.”
“I’m sitting this one out.”
These are complete sentences.
YouFinder is not a competition in vulnerability.
Mental health
YouFinder is not therapy.
Some experiences may include trained professionals from psychology, counselling, movement, somatic practices, breathwork or wellness.
Their presence does not make the overall YouFinder experience clinical treatment.
YouFinder does not diagnose, treat or promise to resolve medical or mental-health conditions.
A Retreat can be meaningful. It is not a substitute for professional treatment.
Medical / accessibility
Tell us what would help us host you properly.
You can share:
• Food allergies
• Mobility requirements
• Relevant medical considerations
• Medication storage needs
• Emergency contact
• Anything materially affecting participation
Visitors should not need to send a full health history.
Alcohol
Fun does not require anybody to keep up.
Some experiences may have alcohol. Others may not. The individual page should state this clearly.
Drinking is optional. Pressure is not acceptable.
Intoxication does not excuse disrespectful behaviour.
Hosts may intervene when behaviour begins affecting somebody else’s comfort or safety.
Know your limit. We are not particularly interested in discovering it for you.
Harassment
Nobody comes to YouFinder to manage somebody else’s bad behaviour.
Harassment, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, discrimination, bullying and repeated boundary violations are not acceptable.
If something happens:
• Speak to a YouFinder host.
• Ask for a private conversation.
You do not need to confront the other participant first.
The team may check in, create separation, change room or seating arrangements, restrict participation, ask somebody to leave, or contact appropriate local support.
Protecting the room matters more than avoiding an awkward conversation.
Romantic connection
YouFinder is not dating.
Attendance never implies romantic or sexual availability.
If somebody is not interested: Move on gracefully.
This should be easy.
Coming alone
“Trust us” is not a safety policy. Information is.
We will explain:
• Who is hosting
• The property
• Room type
• Bathrooms
• Arrival
• Departure
• Private team contact
