We drove off the road.
That was more or less the plan.
Near Surajkund, away from the usual cafés and city noise, we found a hidden patch of forest.
Inside it was a mud structure that felt slightly improbable this close to Delhi.
So we brought a small group there for an afternoon.

2–6 PM
Near Surajkund · Delhi NCR
The idea was very simple.
No elaborate production.
No giant itinerary.
No loud venue.
No hundred person guest list.
Herbal sips.
Simple food.
A little experience.
Nature.
Enough room to move around.
And people who otherwise probably would not have spent an afternoon together.
Sometimes changing the room changes the conversation.
What the afternoon looked like
LEAVE DELHI WITHOUT REALLY LEAVING DELHI
The road gets quieter.
The buildings disappear.
Suddenly the plan feels much further away than it actually is.
SOMETHING TO DRINK
Herbal sips.
Simple bites.
Everyone slowly figuring out everyone else.
ARRIVE
No ballroom.
No event registration desk.
No fluorescent name tag saying:
HELLO MY NAME IS RAHUL.
Thank God.
SOMETHING TO DO
Enough shared activity to make conversation happen without announcing:
“Now everyone network.”
THEN WE STOPPED TRYING SO HARD
Sit.
Walk.
Eat.
Talk.
Look around.
Let the afternoon do its job.
The location was the experience too.
The original Social was deliberately built around this hidden forest setting near Surajkund rather than a conventional Delhi venue.
That idea now becomes part of how we want to build every Social.
Don’t just give us a venue.
Give us somewhere with a reason to be there.
